Personal Narrative: My Experience With Castle In Football

“When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” - Billy Ocean. This quote reminds me of all the times we’ve played Castle in football. The week leading up to the games were always intense because Castle is one of the few teams that can go toe-to-toe with us. For me personally Castle players have given me the most trouble out of any team. Every single game we’ve played against Castle was at there place, fighting on there home. At 6:00 p.m. we arrived at Castle’s football field ready to win. Right after we got off the bus we started to warm up. Castle came to the field next and when I looked at them I thought to myself they don’t look very big and there not that fast ,so why were they such a good football team. Coach Dom, our head coach, was screaming from our sideline telling us what Castle was going to run. Even though we knew what they were going to do they still marched all the way down the field and scored a touchdown to tie the game 7-7. We got the ball back ,but we were only able to get one first down before we had to punt the ball back to Castle. I went over to our O-line coach and asked him what was going on out there. He said that we need to protect our inside when pass blocking and keep moving our feet when were run blocking. Our defense stopped Castle and we got the ball back and decided to go to our bread and butter bama hot. The ball was coming right behind me and Dalton and we both knew we had to get moving to get some yards. After running bama hot several times we were in the red zone. We finally scored on a pass to make the score 14-7. The next series our defense stopped Castle and we got the ball back and did the samething run the ball behind me and Dalton. This time when we got into the redzone we turned the ball over giving it back to Castle. The quarter ended before Castle could score again ,so the score at half was
