My seventh grade year ,at John F. Kennedy middle school,failure was my best friend and caused me to transition into something entirely new.Taking the year lightly my grades began to drop in my math class.I didn't think it was something serious because I felt the grade would go up ,however it never happened. Nearly failing the class all together,there was a possibility that would have to retake the class,and be removed from the Magnet B.E.A.T magnet program they had there. Consequently this would be a major setback for the aspirations outside of school ,concerning basketball.At the time I didn't realize that school would have the domino effect of restricting me from playing due to grade requirements and the stern parents I have. This was a major eye opener because I finally acknowledged the fact that Without the grades I could no longer play.After Failing the first semester I had to pick up the slack in the third and fourth nine weeks with passing grades. Due to the academic probation policy John F. Kennedy Middle School had ,it was guaranteed that I must attend my home school,North Miami Middle School. With hard work ,i ensured that I passed the class with a C average.Although the year was done, I knew that things couldn't stop there.That same effort that I had to pass and play the sport that I love, must have been carried on through the rest of my life.
