I made many changes in my life in order to be in this nursing program. I took a huge leap of faith when I applied to this program and left my current position as a teacher once I was accepted. There have been many adjustments to transfer from working full time to going to school full time. One of the best support systems I have in this nursing program has been my husband. He is working hard to support both of us so that I can go back to school. He is also very willing to be a “patient” who needs a physical assessment or his vital signs taken so I can practice. Another support system I have is my study group. Our study group consists of four first year students from the Moore County Campus. We have each other’s phone numbers and communicate
