My great grandmother Learleen Caputo, as I called Granny influenced me to be the person I am today. She passed away 2 years ago at the age of 81. She was a great christian and always said,” God first, family second.” She was the best role model I could ever ask for.
She had three children, and was pregnant with my great aunt when the missile base explosion happened in Arkansas. Her husband was killed in the explosion. She was so strong during those times my “Nana” would tell me. My Nana is the eldest of the three girls. My great grandmother later on got married and her husband passed away with bone cancer in December of 2016. My great grandfather was diagnosed with bone cancer on a Thursday two years ago and she passed away that Saturday.
