Rumor has it that it takes fewer muscles to smile than to frown. Whether this is fact or fiction, it cannot be denied that a smile can sometimes have more power than every muscle in the human body combined. A simple grin can establish a friendship, silently share a memory, or in my case, make one feel like they belong.
During my first day of freshman year, I was exceedingly nervous. I had just left my protestant middle school with a graduating class of 28, and was now enrolling into a high school where my graduating class would be approximately 328.
