Personal Narrative: My Last Chocolate Chip Cookie

Last night a horrible crime took place: my last chocolate chip cookie was stolen. I now have to find the evil person who committed this crime. Here are the facts: when I came home, I found the cookie lid ajar and cracked, but when I looked inside my cookie was gone. When I went around and asked anyone if they heard a crash of the cookie jar they all said yes, other than Dad. He said he was on a conference call with his headphones on, so he could not hear anything. When I looked around the crime scene, I found a small trail of crumbs leading upstairs. Only my room and Patrick's room is up there. I took the following testimonies from the following people: John, Patrick, and my husband.

John: Well, first of all I know that John really wanted this last cookie. Last night we even fought about it. He had already eaten 9 out of the 10 cookies and still wanted the last one. I told him “no” because I put a lot of hard work into making those cookies, and it is not fair that I don't even get one. This could have been his possible motive. When I questioned him after my interaction about this he said that he was just goofing off yesterday and that the argument was not serious. I think differently. When we fought yesterday he yelled at me for an hour straight. He even told me that I am a horrible mother because I did not give him the last cookie. I think that that is an important motive and clue. But the weird thing is that his room is not upstairs, so why would there be crumbs leading up the stairs? Maybe I will have to ask Patrick about this. I got a couple of his online friends together to see if my son was telling the truth. I could not really trust the other boys other than Luke. I trust Luke because he seems to be nice and he is not a best friend of
