An example of my leadership experience can be seen in my career of being a California State Soccer Referee. I have been a State Referee for over 6 years now and has improved my leadership abilities ten fold because of the situations that many referees are put into on the field. Anytime I am a center referee for soccer (makes all the calls on the field) I am the leader of my referee crew. My end goal is to provide each team playing with a positive match of soccer by keeping the game fair and safe. Without a referee, kids could get seriously injured and leave the soccer pitch with a negative out look on the sport.
