Basketball. I’ve always love the sport. I remember the day when I gave the first thought of doing it. I was a 4th grader with barely any height or skill, but when I’ve seen the fun people got out of it I was amazed. Not only that but the life it brought. The atmosphere was unordinary, its pace was as fast as a track runner. I had seen stuff that I thought was impossible. Then at that moment, exactly when I thought of the impossible. I wanted to be that one person who made the hardest goal the easiest task ever. Everything was good at this point, my mind was made up and I knew what I wanted in life. The funny part is, when I got the notice that basketball tryouts was after school, I quickly got there Right After School! The coach was a tall African American male with a bald head and wore a Michigan St. jacket. We conditioned for like the first fifteen to twenty minutes. So half way through the tryouts we finally got the chance to scrimmage. Now here’s the part that’s actually funny, when everyone was on their teams and it was our turn up. We got out there and did what any other person would do. Find someone to guard and play defense, or either play ball on offense. I went home and took my uncles basketball and just shot around all day. Dribbling and shooting. Not saying I got better overnight but it was my determination that kept me pushing, working harder and harder by the week. Soon I was playing like a guy you would always want on your team. I can shoot, dribble, play great defense, and overall I have very good basketball IQ. So this is my story on how I fell in Love with the game, of course it grew over the years, but I actually have long term life goals, because of that, and can even make really big money off doing
