Personal Narrative: My Migration To Denver

I can’t remember how I got here or when exactly, but I know I’ve lived the majority of my life here in Denver. I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and migrated to this great country at only nine months. I’ve lived in Denver ever since and I consider it my home. I can’t picture myself living anywhere other than South of Denver, downtown is basically my backyard. Although my neighborhood is always facing gentrification and some people would rather get out then move in, I can’t help but to appreciate all the run-down and ghetto buildings, if you can even call it that.
