When my parents got divorced, I decided along with my brother and sister that we should stay and live with our dad. Normally, in most divorced parent situations, the parents would split half the money for the kids or the parent that does not have the children would pay child support. My situation does not work like that. My parents decided that it would be less confrontational if my mom did not have to pay for child support. I see my mom every so often and there is no set date to when I see her. My mom is not financially stable. She does not have a job and my step dad has a hard time keeping one.
