Personal Narrative: My Nonni's Work

My Nonni is one of the most diligent working people I know. Since she was born, she could handle anything that was given to her. She was born on her family farm in Italy. Along with her family, she was very dedicated to help taking care of the farm. She fed the animals every day and groomed them once a week. When she wasn’t tending to the animals she was helping take care of her younger sisters. Following this further, my Nonni eventually stopped working on her family farm. In 1960, when she was eighteen years old, she came to America with her family and her husband (my Poppi). The laborious work did not stop when she left Italy though. One day while working with one of the machines she unfortunately cut off the tip of her finger. Instead of resting while she got time off work to let it heal, she was outside in the garden. While she was employed my Poppi was a carpenter and landlord, together they made a decent living for their family. In addition to making a decent living for their family, my Nonni worked hard to raise their children. Though my Nonni and Poppi did not make copious amounts of money they were intent on making sure they could give their children everything they needed. Besides her own children my Nonni is always attentive to all her grandchildren. She has always made sure we had everything we needed as well. No matter what the problem is my Nonni is a diligent worker and nothing will stop her from finishing the
