1. Some prospective students have a fear of Ohio State's size and finding a community here. From your first moments on campus until now, how have you created a community and made Ohio State feel smaller?
Coming into OSU, I knew many people and already developed a community of friends to depend on. But OSU has numerous opportunities, so I inevitably expanded my circle and joined new circles. My floor, my major, and my scholars group have people I grew closer to from intramural sports, OSU’s variety of unique events, and even brunches and dinners. But my dearest community is comprised of teammates I dance with on OSU Genesis.

I am grateful to attend a university with an abundance of brilliant people; where many students and faculty have inspired me during my time here. but one form of inspiration from a CampusParc supervisor unexpectedly increased my drive to succeed.
My supervisor’s name was Mike, and he was tall man in his mid-20s originally from the country. He came to the city to attend college and become a pastor, and during our 9 hour CampusParc job, he shared his admirable values. Mike’s core values were to work hard and be honest, and those traits were apparent when he meticulously executed his duties. I also saw those traits in how he secured his future. For example, I asked Mike if he had kids, and he said, “not until I am debt-free.” Mike worked diligently, picking up jobs like CampusParc to make extra money to pay off debts and save. He said instant gratification is dangerous, because it is enticing, but steady work and long-term pay offs are far more rewarding. I imagined Mike in the future, being proud of a joyful family environment he created with his earnest work and
