My personal value centers mostly on altruism, and this process took some time to gather since I have never asked to look inside myself. I know since I was a child I gravitated on helping others without asking for anything in return. I do not recall a moment of hesitation when I am helping people. As a matter of fact, I was reading my journal from last year and one of the prompt was, “Things to Accomplish in My Lifetime.” I wrote on my journal as one of my top three is to help as many people as I can in my lifetime.
At the moment this is my values list, and I know in time it may change due to life’s events and experiences. Accountability

I was very confused and bothered by the lack of initiative of the local government to rally the community in applying simple method of transition of learning to recycle. I lived in San Francisco for 10 years and the entire population of about 850,000 follow the stringent rule of recycling without any resistance. Yet in Modesto with a population of about 200,000 I can only guess a very small percentage of the residents recycle their trash. As a steward of Mother Earth, I remain vigilant in recycling my trash and everything else in our household on a regular basis.
