Vocabulary improving,
Ok, been kind of busy here this week as I will describe but suffice to say my Spanish vocabulary is improving thanks to the microwave oven. I now understand that " potentia" means power level, and "grande" means large, so last week turned into a "grande week".

Monday, after burning through the few US dollars we brought with us it was time to take the public transit into Bavarro and get some pesos . The trip in the bus went like clockwork and nothing to report, tried 3 different bank machines, 1st one would allow 3000 pesos with a 195 peso transaction fee, the next one 5000 pesos with a 195 peso transaction fee, the last one with lots of security guards was 10000 pesos and 195 transaction fee. Fuck I said that dog bit me. Blood is starting to seep out, a lady came out of the gym said something to the dog and it went inside the building. She looked at the bite spoke some Spanish, and walked back to the gym returning with a cloth and some kind of antiseptic stuff, it stung a little but got the wound cleaned out. Needless to,say I was,pissed the dog wasn't a random and had a scarf around it's neck just a guard dog. We Walked into the grocery store looking for peroxide and antiseptic materials none to be found other than javex so I bought some beer, wine and tortilla chips and walked back to our place. Sue was kind of freaking a bit, I was doing my best not to faint Right behind us is a pharmacy and Punta Cana doctors clinic. $70 bucks later, I have a professional look at it, prescribe an antiseptic ointment that I was able to purchase at the pharmacy. Of course everyone here knows about it, gives there 2 cents worth or should I say Pesos. I wanted to go back with a cinder block and bludgeon the dog. Break a couple of legs and ribs. Might hire our Gardener, Nario, to go and give it a whack with his machete. Or even better his pick axe ( love those things) .

Tuesday, pool day I didn't want to walk the beach plus the chlorinated water probably helped out as well.
