Only once in our lives we are all given the opportunity to have a free education. Whether it is from independent learning, or is sourced from public high schools. Yet, my time at Sidney High School has been a time of great complexities as it has ones of strives for independence. Some of the things I have come to believe have been altered due to my time here. Such as, the cliche, yet truthful, words of Jon Guey. While his lengthy announcements are annoying at 7 o’clock in the morning, I have taken the idea that your decisions really do determine your destiny. Living a life that may seem full of loneliness, it demands a call of action to yourself which lead to believe that nobody else can force action in your own life rather than yourself. This is also related to my individual strives for independence; You can not wait for other people to make actions on your life, but make them yourself! These people are countless as even the most trivial ailments have allowed me to succeed. I would like to thank everyone who has made this type of impact on my life. Firstly, I would like to specifically name people such as Nicki New, Kristin Strunk, Lexi Steele Clare Barker, Logan Johnson, and many members of the Sidney High School staff. All of these people have contributed to parts of my life unconditionally at times.
