Personal Narrative: My Trip To North Dakota

One August morning I woke up to a chilly, rainy morning but was still excited. I was going to the wooded, mountainous land know as Canada. So I gathered my long fishing rods with the sharpest hooks then set out to catch some monster sized fish. The ride was excruciatingly long as it was around twelve hours on the bumpy interstate flying at 80 miles an hour, when we were in South Dakota at least. On the way there the ride was boring as I got to see the flat open plains of South than North Dakota which is what i'm use to. Once we got into Canada there wasn't a drastic change in the environment until 100 more miles into Canada. We arrived to the camp which had a beautiful scenery with the rocky, wooded landscape. Later that day we caught gigantic fish and even saw a playful bear swimming across in the chilly water. Once we arrived back to camp we saw the bear food they used for hunting surrounded by tiny, cheerful gophers running around. Then the sun set and there several bright stars came out, it was the most stars I have ever seen. We started the bonfire, soon you could hear the crackle along with the pop of the wood burning along with the bright red flames and the thick cloud of smoke going up into the sky. We were given an old wrinkled map of the lake, soon we began driving the boat to our spot when the boat hit a gigantic rock right below the surface. The propeller broke off leaving us stranded but we were rescued later on. We soon began our long journey back to United States and boy was I tired. I grabbed a old, flat pillow and began sleeping, when I was up we had almost arrived
