Personal Narrative: My Trip To South Dakota

To South Dakota Have you ever been chased by a big, furious black bear? I have in the bad lands of South Dakota. It was the summer of 2014. I was thirteen years old. My whole family went on vacation and camped for three days in South Dakota. The vacation was outstandingly fun, I learned a bunch of things, the land was gorgeous, and the vacation was a life changing experience for me. When I went to South Dakota, I did numerous of exciting events. It was outstandingly enjoyable. My family found camp grounds to camp at called the KOA. I camped in tents for three days. When I first got to the camp ground, I saw a snake slither on the ground where I was putting my tent. It scared my pants right off me. When it was starting to get dark, my family had a campfire with s'mores. The heat from the fire warmed me up because in the bad lands it's very cold during the night. We finally all went to bed in our tents. When I first got into my tent, I was very hot from the fire. Since I was hot, I unzipped the flap of the tent to give me some cold …show more content…
I learned how to camp outside, cook meals over the fire, and how to make a fire. I educated myself on how to hike the proper way so I didn't fall of a cliff. Lastly, I accomplished how to put a tent together quickly in case it was pouring. The bad lands in South Dakota was a beautiful place with great land features. I saw tremendously large mountains all over. I hiked over five miles of rock while watching animals run in the wild. I sat on cliffs while my feet dangle off the side.
The most important of all is the vacation was a life changing experience for me. At the end of my vacation I had the time of my life with my family. I will never forget the funny, scary, and bad times on this trip. I'm so glad I went on this trip because the things we did was amazingly fun, I learned multiple things, the land was amazingly beautiful, and the trip was a life changing experience for
