Personal Narrative: My Trip To The LA Office

Plenty of things going in the LA office keeping us busy. We began the month with the LA office hosting an Associate committee meeting, we were asked to setup additional visitor offices. We setup a total of 6 additional offices giving us a total of 12 visitor offices, and yes they were all occupied during this week. There were several requests during this week, we setup up multiple presentation laptops in different conference rooms, assisted the visiting attorneys with logging on, installing printers, forwarding phones, etc. This was possible using hardware ordered for the Summer Associates. Speaking of Summer Associates, this year we have a total of 5. We stayed busy not only configuring the new workstations, we also had several office moves. Both training and the deployment went very well, Eddie had most of the equipment staged and ready to go, at 7:00 PM Eddie and I did the Asymmetrical routing, we knocked this piece out in about 10 to 15 minutes. Shortly after Ryan Stanelle and Jim Kozlowski had finished there piece, and were given the green light to start placing phones and test. The team completed the task by 8:28 PM, the deployment process seems to be working out. The next couple of day’ s we walked the floor and addressed users questions, and tested certain functions and scenarios to get them familiar with the new phone.
I also been working on E-Waste with our Verbum Dei student George James, which his last day was May 31st. It was a pleasure having George part of our team these past two years, he was always productive, positive and pleasant.
In preparation for S4B cutover, I’ve been working on identifying the Common Area phones. I have did submit a list to Jeff Berndsen, and plan on placing these phones next week once the account is
