“Are you twins?” “Who is the oldest?” “Are y’all identical or fraternal?” Questions I have heard too many times to count. I have been reminded that I am a twin all of my life. The constant questions and recognition can get quite annoying at times. To most people's surprise being a twin doesn’t control my entire life, in fact I rarely think of myself as a twin.
My sister and I are very similar, we have the same interest, food preferences, and academic goals. However, we differ in many ways. Brittney is a rule-follower, people pleaser, and a kind-hearted person. I on the other hand am very strong-willed, opinionated, and stubborn. Being a twin has not made me any less of an individual.
