Personal Narrative On A Funnel

I couldn't wait. I was jumping up and down with a mix of excitement and nervousness. I heard some screams coming from the funnel. Nervousness spread through my body. I was at Zehnders waterpark with my best friend Maggie. I had no idea this was going to be one of the most exciting days of my life.

The funnel is a green and blue slide that rocks you so hard, It makes you feel like you are going to tip over. I wasn't quite sure if I was more excited or nervous. More screams came from the funnel. I was definitely more nervous. I started to change my mind when I realized that we were at the front of the line. There was no going back now.
¨Are you guys ready?¨ The lifeguard asked us.
¨Yeah!¨ everyone said, except for me.

The lifeguard had a raft ready for us as we stepped into the water. First Finn got on, then me, then Maggie and her dad. The raft was huge, but it could only fit four people. I thought of how fun it would be to go down the funnel without a tube. I can imagine me gracefully gliding through the funnel,

It was actually kind of relaxing. Then, after a few seconds of relaxation, the next funnel came. But this time was different. Because this time, I was not afraid. I felt like I could conquer anything. I put my hands up in the air getting ready for the next funnel. But when it came, I held my hands up for only a few seconds since I almost fell over.

Once the second funnel was done, we splashed right into a big pool of cold water were a lifeguard was helping people out to the stairs. I then realized that I was still smiling and tried to wipe the smile off my face. But I couldn't. I had so much fun that we ended up going 5 more times!

Now whenever I go on a scary ride, I think about this moment and how scared I was in the beginning, and ended up having so much fun. And no matter how scary something can seem, things are not always as bad as they
