Alex's pov
“In today's society everything is legal. No one does bad things anymore. The world is harmless. The government has been destroyed and know everyone makes the decisions based on God and Jesus. Welcome to our society.” I look around as the recording plays over. New members walk across a line and the doors shut behind them. It's a boy around the age of 14 and a girl around 7, but they have no mom and dad. An older man takes them to a room and he turns on a machine. They have already gotten rid of the diseases from outside the doors. Everyone outside of the wall has to have a mark on their wrist to get in. Some just get a tattoo of the mark. For those who don’t know what the mark is or don't have enough money for the very expensive tattoo they get a disease in five months and they suffer then die.

We all climb down and an old man shuts the door behind us. We are stuck in this room until it is safe for us to come out. Everyone here will go against new people and kill them if they have diseases, but if they don’t then they will be assigned to a family. A woman walks in and yells for a man. “These are the ones” she says. My sister and I walk to them and the man says “I’m David.” “I’m Makayla” the woman adds. They hug us and both together say “What is your name?” “I’m Carson and she hasn’t talked in 3 years, but she’s Zoey, but you can call her Zoe, she likes it.” We walk out the room into another room. They start to put her in a machine and the machine didn’t look right to me. I start to scream “No!”
