Personal Narrative: Sledding At Brookfield Park

Three years ago in December 2013, my family and I went sledding at Brookfield Park. I was so excited to go sledding that day. When it was time to leave around two o’clock p.m. , I put on my black snow suit, purple scarf, purple hat, white coat, purple gloves, and black boots. My whole family was going , including , me, my mom, my dad, my eleven year old sister and my sixteen year old sister. When everyone was ready my dad yelled, “ Let's Go! ” while he was putting the garage door up. We then all walked outside into the chilly, cool, winter wind and hopped into the green expedition truck to go to Brookfield Park. During the car ride , while I was looking out the window , there was so much snow that I believed it was winter wonderland. The sled that my sixteen year old sister grabbed was blue and in the shape of a circle. I didn’t grab a sled because I was going to ride on the same blue sled as her . We walked around the park to try and find a good area to go sledding around. My sixteen year old sister and I were the first people out of our family to start sledding. We joyfully sled up and down the snowy, white, hills as if we were on a rollercoaster. The majority of the time was fun, but then, something happened.The sled suddenly began to go faster and faster as we were sliding down the hill, but then ,BAM ! The sled hit a hard lump of snow and ice mixed together. When the sled got hit , my sister trampled on me, so I fell , and my forehead scraped on a hard, dirty, piece of sleet. “OW !,” I exclaimed as I was feeling agony . The pain was so unbearable.
