Snowing Excitement

My alarm clock started beeping, I got up and turned it off and went downstairs to get ready for school. Then my mom said, “School is canceled.” I was wondering why, but when I looked out the window I was jumping with joy. An important memory that stays with me is my first blizzard in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

It snowed overnight and there was 15 inches of fresh, white snow. My family wanted to take a look and see how much there was. When we opened the front door the was a huge pile of cold, white snow. We decided to shut the door, but we couldn’t there was too much snow, so we shoveled some snow out of the way. Then we all bolted in different directions to throw our warm clothes on.
