As I was growing up I had an older brother and two younger sisters. When I was young I used to live in a small house with a few bedrooms that included my uncles, aunts, and cousins. My family moved out of there after a while and my parents bought a house that originally had two bathrooms and three bedrooms but now has an extra bedroom for my brother and are in the progress of making another room, but there will be no garage. My house has a really large backyard so I had to do the usual chores like pulling out weeds, rake the yard, cut the grass, and water it. Behind our backyard was a piece of land someone owned that had cows and horses and I could see them looking over the fence. I like to have time of my own where I could just forget about things and not have to worry about anything because living with lots of my family and being very crowded all the time really wears you out.

Being hispanic I have a very large family and had to learn two languages, English and enough Spanish to where I could understand what is being said to me and I could respond with simple words. My family was always very supportive and my parents tried to do everything they could to make me and my brothers and sisters successful. With my brother already in college he can teach me things and tell me how to get ahead of things. The environment I was raised in made me into the person I am now. Living with a lot of my family in a single house in my younger years got me to learn a lot mexican culture and all the traditions we celebrate. My home being small and having a large area outside has made me not enjoy being outside so much. I really disliked how I had to be outside for a couple of hours doing some chore.
