Dance team has been a big part of my high school career. I have participated in the Bondurant Dance Team for all four years of high school. High school comes with a lot of temptations and difficulties, but being on dance team has given me many friends that are supportive. In my time on dance team, I have competed at the state team competition for three years and I will be competing again in December. While being on the team, we have received many division I ratings, and during my sophomore year we placed fifth in class two kick. Placing at state was an amazing experience, because it brought our team closer together. I have also been involved in state solo competition for the last two years. I will be competing my final state solo in November…show more content… I take great pride in being involved and helping others throughout my high school career. Community service is extremely important to me. Giving back to the community that I have grown up in makes me feel good. I help out every week at my church, Cross Point Family Church. I have learned, from my dad, how to run the PowerPoint presentation. Every week, I put together the entire slideshow and I run it on Sunday. I have been very lucky to get the opportunity to help out in this way. I have also been a member in the National Honor Society from my sophomore until my senior year. National Honor Society has taught me to serve others and it has given me motivation to keep my grades up. In April of this year, I was accepted into the National Council of Youth Leadership. It was a big honor for me to be accepted in, as only five students from our school are chosen to attend the conference and get recognized. I was very surprised that I was accepted, and it was a great experience for me to be involved in. I have also lettered in academics every year of high school, which is the equivalent of being on the A honor roll. Grades are very important to me, because I value my future and I want to put my best foot forward. Being involved in many things has made me a better person. I have learned how to manage my time in order to get everything
