It was a warm April afternoon and excitement was in the air. Everyone on the softball team was dismissed at 9th period (2:15 p.m.). As we waited for our bus to arrive, our coaches gave us fruit and grain bars for energy. Our bus came and we were whisked off to Upper Perkiomen Middle School. Watch out Indians, the Falcons are coming your way! When we arrived at Upper Perk, 15 minutes later, we unloaded and walked to the field. I was the lone captain for this game because our other captain was out with a concussion. One of my duties was to take the team to right field and stretch.
