“Tough times never last, but tough people do.” by Robert H. Schuller is a quote that motivates me to always push through hard times and try me best in everything I do whether or not I like it.

I come from an average family living in a small town in East Texas. I am the youngest of the three children. Both my mother and father are from Rio Bravo, Mexico. Neither one of my parents has had the opportunity to complete high school, not do they speak english. Both my parents came to the u.s. to work with absolutely nothing. I remember all the stories my parents told me about all the struggles and hard work they went through to get to where they are right now.

Like with picking up trash around the community and helping out with different community events. The one that really impacted me the most was the one at the Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation of Diboll. I went and visited each of the elderly on Valentine's Day in their rooms and gave each of them a card and candy. I loved seeing their great spirit and the big smile it brought across their faces. My willing to do volunteer work has really impacted my life, taught me not to be selfish, and always help others.

My life purpose is to use all the skills and knowledge I have gained over the years of my life. I want to be able to serve and assist people in the medical field, particularly in the radiology industry. While building a long term career with opportunities for career growth and making an impact on my patients.

I love a challenge, and want to be able to go to college and further my education. I did not qualify for financial aid, and my father job is shutting down this year. I do not have the full financial I need to go to school, which is why winning this scholarship would mean a lot. I will not let you down, as I know that I have the motivation, faith, and determination to reach my goals. Winning this scholarship will lead me to my first step of achieving my future goals and
