I want to look both ways before I cross the street. Looking both ways has been recommended by our elders to ensure the safety of oneself. However, in my mind I have an alternative perception that can go beyond the individual. Through my lens, the act of looking both ways resonates with being aware of the people around you and acting upon the interest of society. This is where my academic and career aspirations lay.
