When I joined, I had no idea that water polo would define my high school experience. Growing in my ability in the sport has ultimately allowed me to grow as a person. I have learned leadership through being the varsity captain. A twelve game losing streak during my sophomore season made me develop a strong work ethic and understand the importance of optimism. Water teaches me to strive for excellence both in the pool and in all aspects of my life. The sport is a constant reminder to dedicate my time and effort to activities I am passionate about.
