Personal Narrative: West Delaware's Softball Team

The start of high school softball season is about to begin; tag along with West Delaware varsity softball team as we make our way through the softball season. Each practice and game brings its own difficulties and pleasantries, which relate to the papers I composed during my time in Composition I. In the following papers I had the chance to showcase my strengths and overcome my weaknesses. The first varsity game of the season for West Delaware’s softball team took place at Beckman High School. After practicing for four weeks prior to this night, my teammates and I were more than ready to take the field. Before stepping onto the field, I experienced nervousness, uneasiness, and excitement feelings. These uneasy feelings were similar to what I felt while writing my first paper in Composition I. While I played on the field, I rummaged around my brain to remember the calls for every play; all while trying to remember to act as a leader in order to hide my moments of confusion. When the West Delaware varsity softball team went back into the dugout after the last inning, a feeling of relief washed over me. The game was over, and it seemed easier than I thought it would be. Nearing the closing of the season, West Delaware Swept their Rival and made it onto second round before state. The game went very smoothly and easily. Similar to my last paper in Composition I, this game was the easiest and most enjoyable. In the process essay, my group and I were instructed to pick a topic in which we could explain so that the reader would throughly be informed about it. With the help of my group, we explained the process of going on a first time date and how to make it successful.
