I have many interesting talents and values that make me who I am today. My interests, hobbies, and passions involve softball, volleyball, piano, sports, and instruments. It also includes watching movies, playing video and P.C. games, and listening to music. Lastly, some skills that I have are cooking, sports, playing instruments which include clarinet, piano, the uke, and drawing. I’m a pretty good student. I make sure to do my homework, give effort in my work and projects, and get good grades. Most subjects fascinate me like science, P.E., history, language arts, and math. Perseverance: Personal Narrative
What makes somebody a winner? Some would assume it’s a high score on a game, a trophy, or achieving straight A’s throughout their educational journey. In reality its none of those things, in fact those are a few of the many the benefits being a winner comes with. What makes a winner is their perseverance, their will to perform above other’s expectations, the thirst to run that extra mile of exercise, or the determination to write a good paper knowing you’ll only have…
Sooner or later I knew that I was going to be taking IUPUI classes by my Junior year of high school, ever since I was in seventh grade at Crispus Attucks; neighbors of IUPUI. For the reason that Crispus Attucks High School challenges their students academically, I was ahead of the game. Felsenfeld’s narrative, “Rebel Music”, he talks about his interaction with classical music within his early to adult life. This appeals to me because I fit quite similarly to the kind of story he tells, but more on the vocal music spectrum of things. My parents were extreme opposites in their approach to their vocations, my mother was a visionary entrepreneur not afraid to take risks and my father was a dedicated and hardworking labourer that was content with the status…
Elizabeth Strout’s Olive Kitteridge is the book I chose for my personal narrative response. Though it was the only book that I had not yet read on the list that I could obtain from the library several items contributed to me selecting this novel. Being particularly busy this summer, I knew that I would either devote an extensive amount of time to do this assignment or complete it last-minute. Consequently, I decided a smaller book would be necessary so I would be able to have the assignment completed…

Deuteronomy 4:1-8 is titled “Advantages of Fidelity.” The passage begins by stating that in order to receive the land that God gave to their ancestors, the Israelites must observe the commandments, but they must not alter the laws that were given to them by God. The reading goes on to discuss the destruction of everyone who followed the Baal of Peor, a false god. It says…
