I have always been interested in assisting others and working in a medical environment so at the end of my junior year in High School, I applied to work at Riderwood Retirement Community. When hired as a Waitress in one of their prestigious restaurants, I began contemplating the anxieties and challenges ahead. My anxiety was bolstered during the orientation when we were told to not break any of the expensive tableware. But after two weeks of tough and painful training, I began to adore working at Riderwood. Initially, I didn’t think the senior citizens would have such a great impact on me.
