Initial reflection
In my initial reflection, I will be discussing my strengths, areas of improvement and the strategies that I found most helpful about my writing, reading, listening and speaking, and media. From the start of grade 10 to until now I have improved my abilities to write a strong communicative essay. An essay that speaks for itself. Good research notes and the ability to make strong thesis statement are my strengths. One of the assignments that I did for writing was the essay on “Canadian Military Participation.” In order to improve my writing for the essay, I composed different types of questions about my essay. In that way, it will help me to know where I mumbled. While presenting I would use my voice and hands effectively to omit nervous gestures. Another speaking assignment was the introductory speech about yourself. In order to improve my speaking for the speech, I rehearsed it by recording my voice and listening to it again. That strategy helped me as I come to know where I was unclear. To improve my speaking, I should write a little paragraph twice a week and read it in front of the mirror. This strategy will help me to improve my pronunciation and increase my confidence. I would also look at the feedbacks that my classmates gave me and try to adapt them. Another way I can improve my speaking while presenting is to grab attention at the beginning and close it with a dynamic
