Teachers Make a Difference Primary grade teachers make a difference in children’s lives because they encourage, motivate and inspire children to learn. Primary grade teachers provide us with the basic knowledge that we will need for the rest of our lives. They teach us how to read, how to write, and provide us with our basic math skills, like adding and subtracting. Without our primary grade teachers, some children may not have the chance to learn these important skills. I am someone who had a primary grade teacher who made a difference in my life. Her name was Mrs. Delano. Mrs. Delano was such a sweet, caring, encouraging and motivating teacher. In her class, I had a lot of trouble reading and she helped me with it. I would like to makes a difference in a student’s life like mine did for me. I will do everything it takes to become that teacher. It is important for students to feel like they can communicate with their teacher and I will make the students feel that way. I will let my students know that I want to see them achieve as a student. I will get to know each and every one of my students personally by having them fill out an about me paper. Also, I will let my students know that they can always talk to me about anything. I will be the teacher who motivates students to learn and do so in a fun memorable way. Students love to go on field trips, so I will plan a couple of field trips that have a learning experience but are also fun. I will have students play games that focus on what we are learning in class. I do not think there is any better feeling than when you teach someone how to do something and they understand it. I cannot wait to teach younger children and for them to have that light bulb go off in their head when they understand what I have taught them. I will follow the advice of Mrs. Delano and listen to the children and give them the confidence that Mrs. Delano gave me. I will show the children that I support them as
