"What’s Your Favorite Word and Why? (UVA)
We all have that something we cling to for comfort when times are hard and we have absolutely no control over the situations life throws at us: hope. I feel that every human being comes to a point where there is nowhere left to turn but to the optimistic aspiration of a better tomorrow whether that is through religion, certain people, money, or happiness. Throughout my life, that hope for a brighter future has been in the forefront of my mind through every trial and tribulation. I love the word hope because even saying it gives me encouragement to enjoy the beauty and opportunity of this world until I get to see my best friend again. On September 3, 2017, my beautiful lifetime companion was taken
