People depend on buying and consuming products every day. Now imagine a day when individuals cannot buy anything. This day has become a reality in many nations. Known as the Buy Nothing Day, it has been made to increase awareness of the excessive consumption people make every day. Although this is a good idea to decrease trash build up, it is a great loss for individuals, since it is essential in the human life to buy and consume products because it is human's weakness. The Buy Nothing Day would affect the citizen's health, it would be bad for small businesses, and people would not be able to get resources. More than what it could help, the Buy Nothing Day would bring consequences because the government would be privatizing the people from the demand in the purchasing of goods. If people can't buy or pay for anything it would bring consequences to their health. For example, many people today have …show more content…
For example, gas is essential to people's everyday life.Some individuals don't equip themselves with gasoline for the next day, for those people it has become a habit to not put extra gas for another day, and just buy the necessary, therefore people cannot go to work. Another example could be water. The population needs water to drink. Some people buy bottled water, since some individuals buy bottled water it is easily consumed. Which means that when the Buy Nothing Day surprises the community they will not be able to buy anymore water. Resulting in dehydration, causing people diarrhea. Buying and consuming is very important for human’s everyday lives. The resources are very important considering that people need them in order to move around to their jobs or their daily demands, being that a person without gasoline is the same as a senior citizen without their cane since neither of them can walk or move around fast enough or at the same pace like the rest of the world making them unable to do their daily
