Drinking and driving has become a major problem in today’s societies. Many people nowadays think that it is okay and not problematic to sit in a driver’s seat and drive while they are drunk. By taking part in such action not only is the driver putting his life at risk, but he is also putting his other fellow road users at risk. It is proven by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Incorporation that about 13,000 people are killed each year in alcohol related accidents and 100 more are injured. That is massive number and it feels very scary to know that thousands of people lose their life just by being careless and driving under the impression of alcohol.
I came across on situation couple of years ago, where I sat beside a driver that had excessive intake of alcohol, which was beyond being illegal. This was one of the scariest and the most regretful moments in my life. The driver was swerving around the road and was not in any condition to drive. Luckily after couple of minutes we stopped and switched drivers so we could feel safe. Since that day I am very lucky to be alive and I figured out that it is very stupid and scary to sit in a car with a drunk driver because not only can you be a victim of an accident,

Alcohol severely affects a person in a way that changes and slows down his/hers judgment. When a person intakes alcohol it heads to his/hers digestive system which then enters the blood stream and makes its way to the brain. This is when problems start to arise. The alcohol causes a bunch of dopamine to be released which then makes you over confident and do things you are not aware of. This relates to lack of judgment when driving because when dopamine is released by the alcohol in the blood stream it makes a person think that he/she is driving normally, however in reality he/she
