Duck hunting, to many, is what the Robertsons portray, in their popular television show “Duck Dynasty”. The Robertsons make the sport lose its dynamic luster and charisma! From having huge heated blinds to unlimited access to private land, they face no adversity. However for the everyday hunter, duck hunting is putting in hard work and dedication, building friendships, and finding spirituality.

Hard work and dedication are the keystones to a successful duck hunt. A duck hunt does not start when the sun rises on the day of. In reality a hunt begins months in advance. There is rarely cellphone reception or any form of communication to the rest of the world. It is through this lack of connection that a stronger connection with god is paved. From the beauty of the amber waves of sunshine beating off the cold and clear water to sights and sounds of thousands of waterfowl encompassing the entire sky is truly breathtaking. Duck hunting allows the world to be viewed how god intended. The shear awesomeness guides many to the path of righteousness.
Today’s perspective on duck hunting is certainly skewed. Not all hunters have a television show and a million dollars to throw around at any given hunt. Duck hunters work for a living and live to duck hunt. Through this passion, duck hunters do not give up in the face of adversity, but press on to greater achievements.
