Feeling like the whole world is against you, or how nothing is going good for you no matter how great of a person you are? “When it rains it pours.” Is there a way to get out of that so called bad luck? The movie Facing The Giants, was released in September of 2006. Directed and starred by Alex Kendrick with the help of volunteer actors from Sherwood Baptist Church. This movie is well relatable in not just the eyes of teens but also in the eyes of parents as well as a well written storyline with a persuasive argument. Facing The Giants is a relatable movie because the sequence of events are and occur in the same way as they would in anybody’s life. The main character, Coach Grant Taylor, is blamed for all the losing seasons the Eagle Football program has had. On top of parent's’ hatred, coach Taylor and his wife run into bumps in the road. His wife and him could not get pregnant for years, they struggle with money, a broken run down car, and issues with their house. These issues are also common in the eyes of single, married, or divorced parents. The football players struggle with a good relationship with their parents, failing grades, and faith in themselves that they are each capable of winning. On and off the football field. The producer of this movie catches viewers attention by setting it up around the famous , well known, and well liked football season. The common goal was to put the object of religion in the hands of the viewers. Starting the movie off by addressing all of the issues the characters are having. Throughout the movie each obstacle, or issue, is tackled by the faith everybody has. With faith all of their issues are placed in God’s hands and then gone forever.
