Taking Away Guns Could Endanger Our Safety Gun control has a widespread controversial topic relating to self defense and gang violence. Gang violence has proven to be a huge problem across all cities. Withdrawing guns from law abiding citizens would cause individuals to lose self protection. Gangs will always obtain guns because they constantly engage in illegal activities and have no problem breaking the laws to get any guns. Removing guns from citizens means removing safety. Gangs would continue to participate in malicious activities and people will have no protection to stop them. People will be safer if we promote gun safety and self defense. Gun control has a negative effect on promoting self defense and reducing gang violence. Self defense plays an important role for all citizens safety. Taking away guns will jeopardize people's right to safety. Criminals would crawl the streets and people could not do anything to stop or protect themselves.
