Abortions in the third trimester are not recommended because they are hurting the fetus and practically killing a human being. According to Operation Rescue, 1.06 million abortions were performed in 2011. Many people in the United States are pro-abortion, however generally not in the sense of the third trimester. Abortions in the third trimester are unacceptable because they hurt the fetus and they go against most religions. Unfortunately, some people, A.K.A Hilary Clinton and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, see no problem with late term abortions. Late term abortions not only hurt the mother, but they also hurt the child. There are different ways to conduct late term abortions, some are more painful than others. One way to conduct a late term abortion is Partial-birth abortion, the most painful way for the baby. During the extraction, the fetus is turned until the feet are facing downwards. The doctor then reaches into the woman’s uterus and pulls out the baby until only the head is left.
