Marijuana could possibly be a breakthrough for America. With regulations and restrictions on the substance many ideas could be accomplished for the country. With that in mind I would like to encourage the America to take or at least consider the idea of legalizing the marijuana so that the idea of curing cancer could be discovered. If we consider the long term effects of what marijuana could do for the country may be more would be approving of the legalization of it. Of course we would take into consideration the negatives to the substance but we could also outweigh them with the overpowering benefits. With the studies that prove marijuana as a cure or a potential cure to cancer many would be able to live the healthy lifestyle they should be living. This can be true but it is not because of the drug itself, it is the way in which the user chooses to use the substance. If the user incorporates a tobacco product to receive the effect of marijuana then there is always the risk of cancer components into the body, whereas other methods that do not require the use of a tobacco product are scientifically proven to not have any cancer causing components. With this in mind we could completely destroy the idea of marijuana being able to cause cancer. Another idea brought to the attention of if marijuana were to be legal is the abuse it would receive and the negative effects it’d have on the user. With restrictions and regulations of the substance this could be potentially prevented. Such as other substances being controlled i.e. alcohol and being restricted to drinking a certain amount we could do the same with marijuana. Both of the substances are relevantly equal when it comes to the negatives of the two and with that to compare to we could pose the argument of why we should just legalize something as harmful if it even is as harmful as
