Male rape isn’t a topic normally talked about in public or in the news, a lot of people thinking that men of any age or race can’t get raped. But is that really true? Sure, men are “Too strong” both mentally and physically to be hurt or touched by both men and woman. But is that all really true? Are there men who do get raped? Sure the news has never publicly shown it on TV, but writes a few small articles that the media can’t just find roaming around on the news page. But if men do get raped, where do they turn to? Do they never talk about it or just play it off as some joke? Or maybe try to talk about it even if people laugh in their face as they let the public know about it. A lot of studies show that a lot of men do get raped, in a 2010 report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention1, 1-71 men in the United States have been raped or sexually assaulted. …show more content…
Maybe because the media expect men to be strong, not show any emotion about anything. Yes, there are men who act like they do not care about anything, or care about anyone. But I don’t think that’s all honestly true about males who try to act like that. There isn’t many male rape hotlines either, or any hotlines to help a male out with their problems or troubles. Men in the media act like they don’t need help by anyone, they act like they don’t need anyone to help them at all. In all honestly that’s not true in some ways, there should be more stuff for men to get help, by hotlines, police, and more social media. Men are mostly seen as “emotionally strong” and that nothing can break that. I have some person friends and family who got raped at a young age and never got help, and don’t like speaking of
