Stop and Frisk shouldn’t be a problem in society for the safety conditions for the law enforcement officers.Surely,the citizens of the U.S. have rights also when going through this process.This procedure is traced back over the case of Terry v. Ohio in 1968.Also known as "Terry stop", the only way an officer can stop an individual is if the officer has reasonable suspicion towards a person that has done, did, or about to commit an offense.The officer on duty has to have specific and actual facts about the person in order to a stop can take place.Officers cannot depend on rumors or it is considered unreasonable suspicion and cannot detain the individual.When conducting a search on someone, the police also has to have probable cause.
