Hiking up four miles of rocky terrain is not that easy, but it's all worth it to see the top of Timberline Mountain. The trip up the mountain might seem like all your looking at is dirt, rocks, and trees, but if you dive much deeper into the past of the mountain, it's much more profound than what meets the eye. If I could choose one place to visit I would choose Timberline Mountain in Billings, Montana. We go there once a year and every year I suffer every time because I have to keep up with my dads swift and rapid steps to hike up the mountain. After we get to the top we have to camp, and at that point, fish, which is a pain in the butt because I have to walk through the frigid waters of the lake. After we do that we set up our tent and get out our fly fishing fly's and try to analyze which one would be the best for fishing, despite how exhausted we are. Next we get out our enormous block of Cheese and put a piece on the fly. Then we cast it out to the spot that has the most fish. My dad normally calls the lake, Crystal Lake because it's so clear, that you can see the fish in the lake from a mile away. Once we catch 4 fish we stop and put back three fish and cook the biggest fish we caught, then we go to sleep. In the morning, we pack everything up and hike down to the bottom, making it an eight-mile hike altogether, then find the truck and drive home only to be seen again next year. So now you know why I want to visit Timberline Mountain. I plan to keep the tradition going, honor my grandpa, and go fishing the next time I go. I think that one day you should come up with your own tradition or even use the one we have. In the end of our trip, I think that we become better people and value the nature of Timberline a lot more than we did last
