Parents of children in today’s society are much different than those of our ancestors. They have children present in a time where technology is advancing quickly and controversies involving these advances have been brought. What some parents have started to realize is that even though they're trying to protect their kids by vaccinating them, there are claims that vaccinations can hurt them. I have researched this situation of if we should or should not be vaccinated against the flu virus. I personally believe that we should get vaccinated for it, it's benefits outweigh the cost. In my essay, I'll outline the ways it has healed those infected by the virus, how it's had side effects for those who are weaker, and how those who question if their child should be vaccinated have their questions answered. Influenza is a highly contagious infection of the respiratory system causing fever, aching, and often occurring in epidemics.
