Ben Franklin once said, “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither Liberty nor safety.” Starting with the stamp act king George has imposed a law to take Britain out of debt for a war for land that leads to the same amount of land. King George is treating the Patriots poorly, for he has passed acts without the Patriots consent and even sent an army when they did not want or need them. The American Patriots were undoubtedly justified in Declaring independence, because of King George taking Away a right to a fair trial, making the Patriots Qatar troops when they were not wanted or needed, and not allowing the Patriots to pass their own laws. When King George passed the Quartering act and there was a change about to spread because troops were not wanted in the colonies. “ He has kept among us in times of peace standing armies without the consent of our Legislate,” Quote from the Declaration of independence. This meant that he has kept An army in the sun lies in times of peace when they were not wanted or needed. This was saying that the Government in the colonies needed specific laws to cater to the needs of their area. In taking this away and making the people have all of the same laws it made some Colonies have unneeded laws and some having not enough laws. In taking this right away the local governments had basically no power, if the government has no power then they cannot lead
