Cops in cities can give kids fines for skateboarding. People say that it could keep teens from smoking. A skate park will keep kids off the streets and the sidewalk. If kids have a place to skate they won't have to worry about getting in trouble. Jake and his friends were skating in a public parking lot and got told they couldn't skate. (“A peace call to there own”). I think having a skateboard park could make everyone happy.The Tony Hawk foundation helps lots of towns open skate parks. So far it has helped make 544 skateparks in the US. The Tony Hawk foundation helps mostly low income communities. The max grant the Tony Hawk foundation gives out is 25000.The state says they are many benefits of a skate park. When you build a skatepark the kids have a right place to skate (Tony hawk foundation) In florida they passed a bill making skate parks cheaper to build.

If you build a skate park the kids have a place to meet new people. At a skatepark you can hang out with your friends. Friends can have competitions and compete with each other to see who has better tricks. . kids can teach other kids to do different tricks at the
