Dear Mr. John Proctor,

I am concerned about my best friend Abigail and the way you two have been sneaking around. I would greatly appreciate it if you would come out with your secret. I have known about you two for a short while now and I have decided that you need to do something about it. I understand that it is just as much Abigail’s problem as it is yours, but with you being of a more respectable age it should be your doing to tell the public what has happened between you two. You are much older than Abby is and have less of a life to live than Abby does, by you telling the secret you can save Abigail from not having such a terrible life and you can get on with yours. You said, “ I have hardly stepped off my farm this sevenmonth”. (23, act 1) By telling your secret you would be able to come clean from all of your worries and anxiety. You are aware that the reason Beth is sick all started when you and Abigail snuck off, and you betrayed your wife. If you continue to keep this secret you may cause Abigail to try and do more terrible things to hurt your wife. If you just explain to the reverend and the doctors that this is all a misunderstanding then everything will go back to normal. You betrayed your wife and that is causing her to talk badly of Abigail. (24, act 1) Your actions and your wrong doings should not be taken out on Abigail. If you come out with the secret that is causing all of these issues then you will be able to work things out with your wife so
