Pinkwashing, as some breast cancer advocates call it, has taken over the month of October. Intended to raise awareness, it has turned into a ploy to make money.

“When I see Delta flight attendants dressed in pink, I thank them,” said Daniela Campari, senior vice president for marketing at the American cancer society.
